Yogi tea – and being with

On my morning Yogi-tea bag is printed:

“Your strength is how calmly, quietly and peacefully you face life.”

Each fortnight I have a phone-sharing with my best friend. We alternate sharing what’s going on inside and  may be in our lives – and the listener never argues, preaches, advises, comforts – she is simply present in truth.  This sharing is an exquisite demonstration that we are One. If A represses something, B will immediately feel the energy of that repression as  an impulse to not be present to A – because A does not want to be present to what is going on inside, and projects it out. An d when A admits that she did not want to say x because it was embarrassing, B instantly looses her distraction and is present again.

This process, so clear and distinct when two is present with an intention to share what is, is also going on in ourselves when we are alone when we repress and deny stuff. Our bodies are exquisite tools when it comes to rapport on denial and repression.

I was sharing with Kala  how I always feel fear before a patient comes to session – and how I push it away and tell myself that I can manage – I always have. I invited in an image of this pain I sensed in the solar plexus, and was presented with a big screw-clamp. (or is the right word vice?)The object to be screwed or crushed was a liver.

The liver is metaphysically connected to anger. When I presented the word “anger” to the image in my solar plexus, it reacted with release. When I invited the anger to speak, it said: ” Each time you feel this twinge of fear and you rationalize it by telling yourself you can do it, you miss an opportunity for healing. Just sitting with this fear-sensation, not judging it, just looking, is the only thing that will heal it and make it feel safe.”

I love the way “looking with the H.S.” is coming alive for me, and how it includes the body, who immediately releases press and anxiety. And the beautiful feeling of gratefulness from that inner “something” who is not repressed any longer, but is allowed to exist as it is.
